THE CHESHIRE CHEESE

Cheshire cheese is one of the most popular restaurant in Lonsdale. Quay market in North Vancouver. It is family owned business successfully running from last 35 years. They offer a great variety of food from local seafood fusion with traditional British dishes. Furthermore, it has fine dined in with the bar providing beer, wine, and cocktails. Lastly, they serve all kinds of meal i.e. Brunch, Lunch, Dinner.
In terms of the quality customer being in a very hectic schedule wants to get some relaxing time to spend with their family and friends, meeting new people buzzing around being more socialized. To meet the needs and expectations of the customer the firm is providing the high quality of food served with marvelous drinks.
Our group members ordered both vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers
FIRST COURSE: CAESAR SALAD
The first course of our dine out the festival was CAESAR SALAD served with tangy curd. The presentation was quite appealing and appetizing. The dressing of salad includes lemon juice, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic and black pepper.
SECOND COURSE: CHEESE QUESADILLAS
Secondly, we ordered Mexican dish (cheese Quesadillas). It was served with sour cream and tomato salsa. The flavors of the corn tortillas, onions, bell pepper, and cheese blend into a tasty meal.
THIRD COURSE: CHICKEN PIE SERVED WITH HOUSE FRIES
Then we ordered a chicken pie that was served with French fries. The presentation of the pie was very good and the puff pastry crust on it was very delicious. The creamy flavor of the appetizer adds softness paired with the tangy flavor of mojito.
DRINK: VIRGIN MOJITO
The appearance of the drink was really appreciating and tempting. It has flavored of tangy tomato decorated with cucumber and lemon and was quite refreshing.
DESSERT: ENGLISH TRIFLE
This dessert is an English cuisine made with made with custard, sponge cake, raspberry jellies, peaches and fresh wiped cream. They served it on white plate with a spoon.The look was very simple yet elegant. It tasted sweet and aromatic.
There is price strategy being used as a loss leader where almost all the costs are covered, and the product is sold for a minimum price just to attract customers. A products worth is what consumers are set up to pay for it.
The food we ordered was delicious in order to nutritive value and the price was very reasonable. They do not go for the high margin profits but instead of that, they want to grow their sales and earn profits. If we talk about pricing system of Cheshire Cheese, it is value-based pricing which means deciding the price to the worth of the product to the customer rather than based on its actual costs and margins. The price offerings that are made by the restaurant is very economical that even a middle-class family can enjoy the luxurious touch. All prices are set at the medium range varies from $4-$20.
The appearance of food is the most important aspect which draws the attention of the customer to order the food. The way of presenting the dishes was brilliant. Cheese Quesadillas was paired with different dips and the cheese melting out of the dish was so creamy with colorful vegetables. The puff pastry crust of the pie was very pretty filled with creamy stewed vegetables and chicken which was incomplete without fries. As we went on ordering different dishes, the way of presentation became more and more mouth-watering. They used their culinary skills to make the items look more appealing and fascinating.
The restaurant is located at the Lonsdale Quay market in the north side of Vancouver, it has a nice space in that it’s on the ocean, so a lot of its seats have great views which they try to maximize. The service and atmosphere have always been satisfying enough, with its cozy ersatz English pub decor and friendly staff. It has both indoor and outdoor dining with harbor view which feels like a lavish food being relished inside cruise. The background soft music gives soothing effects to the ears and the dim lights give luxurious environment feels more like candlelight dinner. All age group of people can be seen hustling and bustling, enjoying their meals.
The restaurant in terms of neatness adds glory to the eyes. The corners were well lit with electric room fresheners spreading freshness all around.
The service was quick and prompt. On our arrival, the staff greeted us very warmly. All the staff was friendly and knows how to maintain cheerful attitude and was quite professional and knowledgeable regarding the menu and the ingredients. When we told them regarding our assignment, they were really happy with our decision to choose this restaurant and allowed us taking pictures of the restaurant.
Integration of modern food and beverage trend
People food preferences have changed tremendously during past years. As people especially, millennials are becoming more and more health conscious, delicious and delectable flavors along with the emphasis on healthy and nutritious food is at the apex for all people in 2018.Restaurants are using more fresh and salubrious ingredients. Furthermore, restaurants are paying more heed to food safety and employing many strategies to prevent risks in this sector. The Cheshire cheese also lay stress on using unprocessed and fresh vegetables as Caesar Salad we tried, in the beginning, is a true example of it. It was so fresh and crunchy.
In our day to day life, we consume and deplete a lot of natural resources, unaware of the fact that how badly we are polluting not just environment but health issues on large scale. Our primary concern here is to protect our environment in order to increase life expectancy rate.
The vision of the restaurant we dine in is to cut the roots of the cause which has a negative effect on the planet earth. They use different bins to collect various kinds of waste. Generally, people who are not aware of this collects all the trash in one pile. They used the formula of 3R’S i.e. reduce, recycle, reuse. Furthermore, the lighting system of the restaurant was dim. saving the load on electricity board.One thing which draws my attention was, trees were planted on the sides of the wall adding greenery and freshness to the atmosphere.
Good food choices are good investments (Bethenny Franklen). It is precisely true. Dine out Vancouver Festival was the memorable and unforgettable experience. The Cheshire Cheese Restaurant and Bar is worth seeing and must visit a place. We got all courses for just $40 in total. Everything from ambiance, presentation to service was worth praising and in every aspect the restaurant excels.
