Truck Design

Mom's Grilled cheese is keeping it simple when it comes to the truck design they have a eye catching graphic located on the back of the truck, we see a retro pop are woman holding a grilled cheese with of course the moms logo. Then we we see the front side of the truck it a simple place white and red sign with the menu clearly stated on it. Allowing for the costumers to clearly see their options.
Marketing
The food truck serves classic home style gourmet grilled cheese, soups and other good food. The theme line which attracts customers is “LIKE MOM USED TO MAKE”. The advertise themselves on three major social platforms, that is, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Facebook and Instagram are the most popular ones which have around 2500 and 1181 followers respectively and the food truck frequently posts it’s pictures, videos, etc. to advertise themselves. They also provide customized sandwiches, which is a great marketing tool. In my personal opinion, the establishment is not providing enough efforts to market their brand, food, finesse, etc. Their twitter account is not well updated which might have an effect on customer acquisition.

The Food Frenzies Review:

The Sunday Special: The Lionel Richie
The sandwiches that we had were awesome. They use variety of breads, cheese and add ons that we can choose according to our choice. They also provide, daily special such as mom’s meat loaf, the Jackson 3, the La Di Da, etc. on different days. I had grilled cheese sandwich which had filling of eggs, cheese, avocado, lettuce and tomato. It was served with chips and cucumber pickle. The taste was good. I really liked the way the serve sandwich which is easy to hold and eat. Moreover, I think, they can use a variety of sauces to enhance the flavour of sandwiches. - Ramandeep
I also tried out the Sunday special and let me tell you it was what I needed, I got mine on sour dough with avocado (I honestly think you could put avocado on any sandwich and it would taste great!) I loved the mix of the cheese with egg and avocado it was the perfect breakfast sandwich, and if you where looking for some good grilled cheese this is gotta be added to your list of must try food truck's. I promise you will love it. Along with a amazing grilled cheese, the staff was so friendly and inviting and they had the food out in under 10 minutes I have to say I was so impressed. I will be going back next time they make a stop at the breweries in Port Moody. A final tip would have to be add some chips into the sandwich for an extra crunch! -Phoenicia
After just finishing ‘’The Lionel Richie” I can definitely say it was one of the best grilled cheeses Ive ever had! However, it wasn’t just a grilled cheese, it had extra protein with an eggand the avocado was a great touch. I appreciated the flexibility they allowed when ordering, for example, I am vegetarian so I could not eat the bacon, but they suggested substituting it out for tomato instead. Loved this food truck!! -Teyah
Create Your Own: Matthew’s Special
The Mom’s Classic is their take on creating a sandwich your way. Starting with a choice of baked fresh daily bread that include: Sourdough, White, Multi-grain, Marbled Rye and even a gluten free option. The main ingredient, CHEESE! There is Cheddar, Mozzarella, Havarti, Pepper-jack, Swiss or Chau Vegan. Taking it one step further, you have the option to “Make it Deluxe,” Red onion, Sliced Dill Pickle, Tomato or Hot Banana Peppers can be added for $1 each. Just when you think you couldn’t have any more options you’re able to “Super Deluxe,” to take you grilled cheese to a whole other level. Offering Double Cheese, Smoked Bacon, Ham, Avocado or Vegan Bacon for an additional $2. I (Matthew) decided to go with the Mom’s classic. Choosing fresh sourdough, havarti cheese and hot banana peppers for a little kick. All together it was a fantastic sandwich that came with two dil pickle wedges and ripple chips at the bottom of a wax paper cone. I would highly recommend giving Mom’s Grilled Cheese a chance if you get a chance. It’s hard to go wrong with grilled cheese that reminds you of being a kid again. -Matthew
